Hi! I'm lara nasser, the creator of hostile homeware. i moved to athens in 2023 after 10 years as a conceptual artist in new york, and found myself making alien-looking lamps and decor in my studio. I fondly referred to them as “hostilities for the home…” and thus the name was born.
2 years later, I relocated back home to lebanon. I didn’t quite know what to do with the project until a storefront on my favorite Beirut street caught my eye. i began converting the former coffee roastery into an bright, airy gallery. over the next 9 months, i produced a new collection of furniture, paintings, and lil decor items while renovating.
the result is a dreamy maximalist space somewhere between public living room, haunted hotel lobby, design gallery and gift shop. sci-fi inspired decor contrasts with grandma's salon to create a vibe we don't really know what to call yet. if you've read this far, thanks friend! please say hi below or better yet, pay us a visit sometime<3
